We want to put you on the right path to getting the help you need.

We use an Online Consultation service which allows you to submit your health queries for our clinical team to review. We aim to be in touch within 3 working days of your submission, to have a chat about your problem and discuss what further action is needed. This option is available Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Alternatively, you can register on Patient Access to book appointments online. This option will help to free up our phone lines, allowing the most urgent and important calls to be seen to as soon as possible.

If you’d prefer, you can also call the practice by clicking the button opposite - our Reception team will discuss your options and book you an appointment if that’s the best option.

How to book an appointment.

We offer the ability for patients to use an Online Consultation platform or to call us by phone, whichever is preferred. No matter which appointment you book, you will receive a text notification reminding you of your appointment when it comes closer to the time.

We also have a limited number of appointments reserved each day for emergencies - more information on this can be found below.

Booking an Online Consultation

It’s much quicker for you to use our Online Consultation service for advice compared to booking an appointment over the phone. Usually, a Clinician will review your online request within 72 hours and get in touch with you for a telephone consultation, which most common illnesses can be quickly remedied by. Booking this way also takes some of the pressure off our phone lines, which are extremely busy! We are able to schedule phone calls with patients instead of being overwhelmed by calls every day, which allows us to provide a higher level of care.

Of course, if you believe you need to see a doctor in person then book a normal appointment by calling the Practice - otherwise, why not give our Online Consultation platform a try? Simply click the button below to get started.

Urgent Appointments

We reserve a number of appointments each day for urgent cases. If you need to see a doctor urgently, please call us as soon as we open at 8:00am and advise the Receptionist at the time of booking. Please ensure that you only request an urgent appointment for treatment of conditions requiring immediate consultation.

More than one problem?

Don’t worry - we’re here to help. Just let the receptionist know that you’re calling about multiple issues and they’ll help you by booking a longer appointment slot if it’s appropriate.

Home Visits and Telephone Advice.

If, for whatever reason, you’re unable to get to the Practice for your appointment, we can find a way to best support you.

Home Visits

Home visits are available for patients who are either housebound or unable to visit the Practice due to illness. All home visits will be organised by a clinician, with more serious or urgent visits taking priority. If possible, please call the Practice before 10:30am if you require a home visit, to give the clinician time to plan the visits.

Telephone Advice

Telephone advice as accessible by completing our Online Consultation, after which a Clinician will be in touch to give you advice over the phone.

Cancellations.

Please always let us know if you don’t wish to take up your appointment. Even if it is at the last minute, we can always fill it. We understand that you may now feel better or something else has cropped up and we are happy to rearrange… But please tell us!

You can cancel by calling 01905 678500.

Please note that we do record all incidences of not turning up, and we will be in touch if you miss an appointment. We do reserve the right to ask you to leave the practice list if you won’t help us to help you by keeping to your appointments - as missed appointments cost the NHS money, and make it harder for the rest of our local community to access appointments with us.

Medical Training at Elbury Moor Medical Centre

We’re extremely happy and proud to be a Training Practice for Year 5 Medical Students from Birmingham University.

What does this mean for you as a patient? Well, from time to time, the students will be present in consultations and appointments to study effective GP practices. You will be informed of their presence before your consultation - but if you do not consent to the students being present, your wishes will be respected and the student will leave.

If you are happy to consent to the students learning and developing their skills, we will ask you to complete a consent form.
